The Department of Public Works maintains Martin Sutton Park, Railroad Park (soon to be Rails to Trails), streets, sidewalks, signage, flower beds, trees, snow removal, alley repairs, public trash removal (through a contactor), equipment maintenance, and other citizen’s concerns.
The Water Department maintains the wells, underground piping for distribution, the water tower, valves and hydrant, and maintain the chlorine residual throughout town. The Waste Water Department checks all its facilities daily for correct operation. The town currently has four pump stations we maintain, and operate a lagoon spray irrigation system on the town farm just at the west side of town.
