MISSION STATEMENT:
It is the mission of the Ridgely Police Department to provide the highest level of law enforcement service possible to the citizens of the town of Ridgely. Each member of the department shall be resolute in their duties to reduce, and repress crime. Provide those services not of a criminal nature. Provide for pedestrian and vehicular safety. Provide supportive services to allied agencies of local, county, and state level.
GOALS:Crime Reduction: Reduce the opportunity, and desirability to commit crime and lower the vulnerability of crime targets through community policing.

Crime Repression: To repress crime by prompt response to citizen complaints. Create a climate of deterrence through thorough investigation, swift certain identification, and apprehension of offenders. Conduct complete case preparation to insure successful prosecution.

Miscellaneous Services: Respond to citizen complaints and questions that are generally not criminal in nature such as noise complaints, animal complaints, notification of next of kin, provide assistance to the sick, injured, and elderly as appropriate. Provide services to local community gatherings such as festivals, and parades.

Pedestrian and Vehicular Safety: In sure the safe and expeditious movement of people and vehicles on the public ways. The police department will accomplish this by the prompt enforcement of local, and state motor vehicle laws.

Support Services: Provide those services that are supportive of other agencies associated with the safety of our citizens. These agencies are local, county, and state police, fire and EMS departments.
